The HOLIDAY REGATTA of LIGHTS is a spectacular and colorful parade of boats held on the St. Augustine bayfront just north of the Bridge of Lions. This event reflects the maritime roots of the "Oldest City" and is in keeping with St. Augustine's historical seaborne image and rich nautical heritage.
The Regatta is hosted by The St. Augustine Yacht Club and the 2008 Regatta was held Saturday December 13th, 2008;
Sailboats, trawlers, shrimp boats and many other vessels parade, decorated with the festive lights of the season in celebration of the holidays, participated in this festive event.
A post-parade Reception and Awards Ceremony was held at The St. Augustine Yacht Club for Captains and Crews of the boats.
All are invited to St. Augustine's downtown area to enjoy the City's Nights of Lights and to experience the HOLIDAY REGATTA of LIGHTS. Stay tuned for information on the 2009 Regatta.
